PLEASE MEET OUR TEAM: OUR LOGISTICS SPECIALIST

The most recent addition to our team of highly skilled professionals is a new Logistics Specialist, Sofia Baretto. She joined our company last November and, despite having been with us for only a couple of months, she has already shown a great ability in dealing with the hectic pace of our job.
Her degree in Translation and Interpreting makes Sofia fluent in both English and Russian; she also has an intermediate knowledge of French and Spanish and she knows the basics of Chinese and Latvian. Her remarkable language skills – paired with her Master’s degree in Economy and Languages of Eastern Europe, focused on the internationalization of Italian companies in Russian-speaking countries – led Sofia to develop a career in logistics before joining Alifood.

Sofia says of herself that she is always up for a challenge and, considering how many we are likely to face on a daily basis when dealing with logistics, her prompt, constructive response to difficult situations is a welcome advantage to our entire team. “No matter what happens, it will be a success” is her motto and she brings this positive attitude to the office very day.

Sofia is in charge of handling our shipments, acting as the focal point between our suppliers and freight companies while constantly keeping our clients up to date with the tracking and any other information they may need. She is very problem-solving oriented and even after a busy day in the office, she believes that a satisfied client is always the best reward. As it normally happens within our group where we always support each other, Sofia also helps her colleagues in the sales department with shipment quotations.

Besides logistics, a great passion of hers is travelling, which provides her with the chance of meeting new people and discovering new places and cultures. These days that travelling is still a bit unsafe, Sofia likes to daydream about the long journeys that our containers make.
