When we founded Alifood, back in 1997, we had this grand vision of setting up an export company of Italian food excellences that could manage the entire production and distribution process, “from field to fork”. Our strive for perfection soon led us to realize that a great vision would have been irrelevant without great products and great people: this is why, after so many years, we still carefully select all the producers we work with and we pay the same attention in selecting our food-enthusiast personnel.
Giulia Nuzzo has been with us for almost two years now. With a significant background in logistics, she was first hired to cover a maternity leave in our Logistics Department; when that temporary assignment came to an end, we decided to offer her a new position as part of the team in our commercial back office. Proactive and with a very flexible approach to her daily routine at work, Giulia is in charge of commercial offers and orders. She combines her perfectionism with a commendable level of empathy that allows her to offer the best solutions to our clients by approaching each one of them in a personalized way. Giulia speaks Italian, English and a little French; in her spare time she is currently attending a language school in order to improve this ability of hers.
“Do unto others as you would have others do unto you” is her golden rule and this makes her a strong team player, constantly supporting her front office colleagues with new, innovative solutions. Always meeting the deadlines, Giulia usually starts her working day by checking e-mails and internal notes in order to understand priorities and urgencies: her mornings are mainly dedicated to set her daily tasks so as to help her colleagues in streamlining their activities, then in the afternoon she is usually busy preparing all the necessary paperwork for the commercial department. Traditional Italian food is one of her two greatest passions; the other one is music, from which she takes that positive, regenerating energy she needs to face every day with a smile.
